PUBLIC STATEMENT FROM DR JOSEPH CHIKELUE OBI : FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION TO ALL ETHNIC MINORITY COMMUNITIES
" Now that the initial stage of the General Medical Council (GMC) Ethnicity Census has duly been categorically rejected by very many tens of thousands of GMC-Registered Doctors in the United Kingdom ; I warmly look forward to being forced to gleefully monitor the imminent second phase of the Obliviously Shambolic , Self-Serving , GMC Exercise.
In the interim , I wish to publicly alert all Ethnic Minority Doctors in the UK to take a good long look at recent GMC FTP (Fitness-To-Practise) Data Reports ; where it is horrifically revealed that since the GMC Ethnicity Census began , the proportion of Ethnic Minority Doctors who have been struck-off by the GMC has sensationally skyrocketed by thereabouts 50% (Fifty Percent) or so.
In the month of June 2008 , approximately 90% (Ninety Percent) of the Doctors who were suspended by the General Medical Council (under GMC Interim Orders Provisions) conspicuously originated from Poor Ethnic Minority Communities.
Despite the (Extremely Nauseating) GMC Ethnicity Census Tombola Charade , it sadly (and fundamentally) remains profoundly evident that an alarming percentage of Ethnic Minority Medical Doctors are still being comprehensively denied the very same level of GMC Regulatory Justice which is liberally handed out to their White Medical Counterparts .
As things currently stand (in the light of additional GMC IOC Statistics for June 2008), it would superficially appear that Overseas - Trained , International Medical Graduates are presently being suspended by the GMC at thereabouts 9 (Nine) times the rate of their White Professional Colleagues .
This is a totally unacceptable state of affairs ; and I hereby publicly call for a Full CHRE Probe into the matter , as soon as is formally possible."

* Very Important Regulatory News From The Medical Licensing Commission (MLC) *
Effective from the 16th of November 2009 , all UK (and Irish) Applicants for Registration with the Medical Licensing Commission will be subject to Additional Competence Checks.
All Potential MLC Applicants are therefore strongly advised to thoroughly ensure that they appropriately finish all of their MLC Licensure Formalities before 12 Midnight on the 15th of November 2009.
After the 16th of November 2009 , all UK (and Irish) Candidates will be required to sit for the MLC Entrance Exam which costs GBP 2999.
The Chief Purpose of the MLC Entrance Exam will solely be to objectively decide whether a Specific Candidate is eligible for either MLC Option 1 or MLC Option 2. It will also assess whether a Specific Candidate will be ethically required to undergo Further Training prior to Formal MLC Licensure.
The Basic (MLC Option 1) 50 Year MLC Licensure Fee will still remain permanently fixed at GBP 299.
International Candidates (outside the UK and Ireland) will also be similarly affected.
